Cessation of all mental modifications is what is said about yoga in the traditional texts. Having a deep rooted philosophy and culture in the ancient Indian scriptures, man's understanding of yoga has evolved over centuries and has benefitted every individual in all spheres of human existence. The art of balancing the mind and controlling the emotions through practices like Asanas (Yogic postures), Pranayamas (Yogic breathing techniques) and Dhyana (Meditation) have given rise to a much happier, healthier and a content society.

What is Yoga & Meditation?

Yoga is the art and science of systematically observing, accepting, understanding and training each of the levels of our being, such that we may coordinate and integrate those aspects of ourselves and dwell in the direct experience of the center of consciousness.

Physical Benefits:- Enhances energy, strength and vigor. Deeper level of physical relaxation measured by decreased metabolic rate, lower heart rate, and reduced work load of the heart. Lowered levels of cortisol (hormone that is released in response to stress; like adrenaline, it helps us deal with stress, but too much can be harmful); and lactate-two chemicals associated with stress. Reduction of free radicals- less tissue damage. Decreased high blood pressure. Higher skin resistance. Low skin resistance is correlated with higher stress and anxiety levels.
